The Hawk Is Howling is due out on September 23rd from Mogwai, and Matador has dropped the new track "The Sun Smells Too Loud" on our heads.
Just a standard drum beat that leans slower, but there's a point where the track takes an edgier turn with synths and other instrumentation as the backdrop.

Former Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis' gravestone has gone missing according to reports out of the BBC.

Chromeo's Fancy Footwork was such a great album that the duo have repackaged it with goodies, and will release it on Tuesday.
The Deluxe Edition of the album will be loaded with remixes from MSTRKRFT, Lifelike, DFA, Crookers, and others, five videos including the Fancy Footwork jam, and all the greatest hits from She's In Control. Not to mention the original "Footwork" record.
All in all, not bad.
