Despite almost completely losing their Country fan base, The Dixie Chicks are #1 anyway.
This is despite country programmers completely shunning the band for their remarks about President Bush in 2003.
Oh yeah, and they are #1 on the Billboard Country album chart this week too.
Really, it's the ultimate justice. Doing it your way and still succeeding.

...she should have taken them out on her breasts.
Don't worry, we won't be posting any Mariah anytime soon.
Let me preface this by saying I have not heard this whole record. However, the cuts I have heard are more intimate than your average record, and that's where the appeal lies.
These tracks came from Johnny Cash's Personal Files, a box he kept in his closet. After his death, one of his sons gave it to the record company. Luckily we get to hear it cleaned up.
One of the great things about this project is the commentary from Cash himself. He intros several tracks with stories, and then will sing a hymn (or song) right afterward, with his acoustic guitar. It's like you were in his own living room in 1975.
Now, if I could just find the time to listen to all of it, I'd have much more to say.

...and a lot of suckage.
Maybe EZ Archive is closed on a holiday.
I couldn't get in this morning.
I guess I'll have to wait on those 4,000 ABBA songs I was planning on posting.
In the meantime, thanks for dropping by, have a good Memorial Day, and keep enjoying the Indie Acoustic/Phoenix posts.
