The Walkmen

The new Walkmen record, A Hundred Years Off came out yesterday, with plenty of attention.
The blogging universe has been abuzz with sneak peak tracks like "Louisiana," "Lost in Boston," and "Brandy Alexander."
It's Dylan tendencies meeting punk head on, as lead singer Hamilton Leithauser, in full raspy mode, dives into several tasty tracks.
Some critics are saying that this is a more mature version of The Walkmen.
Stylus says-It’s the band’s throatiest, most pressing and urgent release to date.
The band has always been loud in parts, but with sonic textures that make them standout. This new album is no different.
However, there are always critics who don't share the same observations.
Pitchfork-Despite occasional flashes of inspiration, much of the record blends together into a whole that is somehow much less than the sum of its parts; the ingredients are colorful, but the end result is disappointingly dull.
Here comes the least dull track on the record.
