New Guster Track "C'mon"

Ganging Up on the Sun

The new Guster album Ganging Up On The Sun comes out June 20th, and with a new fourth member added, the band takes on new heights.

Joe Pisapia is the new man in question, describing himself as several things, which include a deli-man (father owns one), guitar player, arrogant asshole, humble insecure guy, and producer.

We kind of think the business card should start with producer, then work your way down from there.

Pisapia's presence brings a nice lift to the band, namely his multi-instrumentalist talents, adding dabbles on the already impressive canvas.

Wait, and what's that sound I hear? A bass?!! That's right kids...bass in Guster! It sounds pretty good, if you ask me.

Speaking of sounding good, I thought this question asked by a fan, then answered by Guster on their site, was one we had to publish.

Q: Okay, say you guys are on the road and you finish playing a show and your shirt is drenched with sweat. Where do you put that shirt? Please give individual answers.

A: Adam will hang the shirt in the dressing room or the hotel room until it dries. Sometimes he clips it in the window of the van and leaves it flapping as we drive. Ryan will wear the shirt to bed and when he wakes up in the morning it is usually dry, and good to wear again that night. If it has been a particularly sweaty show, Ryan might shove the wet shirt into his laundry bag and worry about it later. Unable to come up with a suitable solution for this problem, Brian will begin playing gigs topless this fall.

Expect Ray Lamontagne to open those topless gigs throughout the summer.

Oh yeah, and we really like the new album. More great Guster pop.

Next stop, global dominance.
