Who Needs The World Cup When You Have The Futureheads!!

By the way, does anybody know how the US is doing in the World Cup? I know they lost 3-0 the other day. Does that mean they are done?! Aaah, who am I kidding, soccer blows!
Now on to The Futureheads damn it!
They released a record yesterday that is catchy as hell called News and Tributes. Maybe you've heard. If you read blogs like this one, I'm guessing yes.
I love this band because they do that whole "punk with melody" thing really well. In fact, this puts their last record to shame.
Songs like "Cope," which steal from the operatic influence of Queen, to the U2esque "Worry About It Later," this album doesn't disappoint.
Besides, you've got to love a band who met while teaching the underprivileged about music.
Go ahead, this is a Kleenex moment. *Sniff*
We also hope, that with this album, the band will officially stop practicing in lead singer/guitarist Barry Hyde's garage. He calls it "The official coldest place on earth."
We officially think bigger things are coming for The Futureheads.....with heat.
