French Kicks Are Back

French_kicks

It's good to see The French Kicks back and maturing as songwriters.

We've heard they had an unorthodox approach in writing their new album, Two Thousand.

They put layers of sounds and parts together first, then came back and added actual instruments later. Talk about taking the hard road.

Those elements are everywhere on the album, making for a mostly solid listen.

One critic said of the bands songs, "they are perfectly pleasant, but they just don't leave much of an impression after they've ended."

We're not sure we agree with that statement. Take a listen to these and judge for yourself.
