Simon Dawes
The new album from Simon Dawes is a nice piece of British psychedelic joy. The Kinks or currently The Shins, quickly come to mind when you here their sharp brand of power-pop melodies. The album has punch with great riffage that sticks with you, and somehow every song sounds fresh.
Simon Dawes is a band by the way, not a person. Headed by the sarcastic wit of Taylor Goldsmith, the name comes from two middle names of the band members.
The So-Cal band has toured with many well known bands including The Walkmen, Band of Horses and Maroon 5, and we only can imagine you'll see more of them.
In fact Simon Dawes is currently on the road with Chad VanGaalen and BOH as we speak.

Hey this is Audra, I met you guys in Indiana at the Incubus show. I love your Carnivore cd! I listen to it everyday...ha, but seriously, i do. I was meaning to ask where the name Simon Dawes came from?...if you guys are ever close to Indiana again, let me know, I would love to come see another show! You guys are great!
