Death Cab For Cutie Get Their Wish List

“We sent our wish list over to Atlantic, and they called us back and said, 'Yeah, that looks pretty good,’ ” Nick Harmer (bass player) says. “And we said, 'Whoa, whoa, wait, slow down. What?’ We didn’t expect that they would be so interested and really so, I don’t know, brave, I guess, to take some risks and meet us halfway.”

Bonk

Bonk

What can we tell you about Oslo, Norway? Besides the fact that the band Bonk is from there, pretty much nothing. Oh, we forgot, Oslo has the most bitter winter cold on the planet.

I suppose the band couldn't warm up to playing ballads, so out come the Peavey Amps, a nice sense of humor, and a garage rock style that will warm up any frigid penguin.

If you'rre a fan of The Pink Spiders, Riverboat Gamblers, or maybe The Datsuns, check these guys out.

Clipse Review

This duo is all the talk right now. Even if you aren't into rap, the lyrics are incredible.

Outrageous Cherry

There's something to be said for a band who can play super sunny power-pop, while talking about evil and destruction.

"You're gonna die (ooh la la la)"  It's kind of like that.

The Detroit band Outrageous Cherry is back with their new album, ironically titled Stay Happy, as if their elixir is going to cure you. Ha!

Their trademark pop mixed with psychedelic power has garnered great reviews over the years. Stay Happy's critics however, seem to be a little more harsh. The write-ups are not as glowing about this album, but there are several highlights. Usually they are the tracks that are centered around conspiracy theories, ("The Song They Don't Want You To Sing") paranoia, ("Paranoid World") and the great 60's garage rock in "Memphis Stereo".

The Slip Feature

The Slip and other bands discuss life on the road.

"Sometimes you feel like you're in a vacuum when you're literally in a vacuum," Brad Barr, lead singer for The Slip says. "You're in an RV, driving around. You sit in the studio and make your music, and it's a very personal experience. You're with your bandmates, and these guys feel like your family. But sometimes it takes somebody stepping back and making that connection."
