Sonic Youth

Destroyed Room: B-Sides and Rarities

Gather Round Kiddies!

Time for today's pop quiz.

What would you rather do this holiday season?

Now, you only have two choices.

-Get mauled by Granny, trying to get the new Playstation 3, and then question your man (or Womanhood) because she beat you by 170 feet, while crocheting a sweater.

OR

-Order the new Sonic Youth rarities set from Amazon in the comfort of your own home, while watching Gene Rayburn's fondling of Granny on Match Game.

'Tis the season for run-on sentences.

Although I know you're tempted by Granny schooling you for the Playstation, I knew you would make the wise choice.

The Destroyed Room: B-sides and Rarities, is the new Sonic Youth collection that gathers all of those gems that you can't seem to find, until now.

The album features tracks from rare vinyl, and limited-release compilations, and all these gems are remastered. There are some cool outtakes, as well as a couple of instrumentals on here. Check it out.

Sonic Youth are like a well-loved comfortable old blanket... I could throw on their entire catalog, get cozy and go into a trance for hours on end...

About Indieblogheaven

  • Indieblogheaven is a music blog, primarily focusing on indie bands/artists. This may include some americana, pop, punk, or whatever we might like at the time. There might be some pop culture sprinkled in periodically. Mp3s are for sampling only--go out and support the artist, if you like what you hear. If you are the owner of a sound file, and would like it removed, e-mail me, and I'll pull it ASAP. Due to bandwidth issues, mp3's will only be up for a few days at a time each.
