Bright Eyes Not So Bright Live in Toronto Last Night

Brighteyes_7662

"...standing in the Opera House at the band's concert last night, surrounded by an ocean of half-drunk couples with side-bangs awkwardly making out, half-pretty under-aged girls wondering when the slow sad songs were going to start, and most of the rest of us just wondering when it was going to get good."-The Torontoist

Shearwater

What started out as a side project with Okkervil River's Will Sheff and Kingfisher's Jonathan Meiburg, has turned into a full blown success story. After releasing their 5th album last year, the critically acclaimed Palo Santo, the Austin, Texas band Shearwater has signed to Matador Records.

The album will be tweaked as a double album with newly recorded versions of "La Dame et la Licorne", "Red Sea, Black Sea", "Seventy-Four, Seventy-Five", "Johnny Viola", and "Hail, Mary", while disc two includes 8 previously unreleased tracks. Still, the record is sure to sound like the channeling of Jeff Buckley.

Check out the updated version of "Red Sea Black Sea" below.
