Bellavista

Bellavista

There used to be this great band that emulated a raw, garage rock sound called Vue. They were on Sub Pop, and recieved high marks for their brand of playing.

Now, three of the members have moved on from Vue, to form Bellavista. The band is comprised of Rex Shelverton, Jeremy Bringetto and Cary LaScala-three childhood friends who grew up near San Francisco in a town called Half Moon Bay. If you're looking for a beautiful travel destination along the ocean, that's one of the better ones, by the way.

Bellavista's self-titled album is due out next month on Take Root Records, and from the few tracks I've heard, it sounds as good as the Vue stuff.

Check out tracks, like the harder edged "Temptation By Your Side" or the song, "Divided We Suffer," with the unforgetable line "We rub our vaginas together." This coming from a dude. It rocks-who cares. Enjoy.
