Thrushes

Thrushes

Is it me, or is there a new Shoegaze band showing up every few days.

Add another one to the list in the name of Thrushes out of Baltimore, Maryland.

The same wall of sound atmospherics are featured here, reminiscent of bands like My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive, but with a twist. Like the recent discovery of Jesus and Mary Chain spin-off, Sister Vanilla, Thushes also feature a female lead vocalist-Anna Conner, doubling on guitar. In fact, there are two women in the band as Rachael Tracy rocks out on bass.

Their new album Sun Come Undone is out now, boasting 11 songs in 45 minutes of sonic beauty. Check it out.

I'm so excited that Thrushes are doing well! I did a pretty in-depth review of Sun Come Undone a while back, and it's gerat to see the band getting noticed on bigger sites than mine!

About Indieblogheaven

  • Indieblogheaven is a music blog, primarily focusing on indie bands/artists. This may include some americana, pop, punk, or whatever we might like at the time. There might be some pop culture sprinkled in periodically. Mp3s are for sampling only--go out and support the artist, if you like what you hear. If you are the owner of a sound file, and would like it removed, e-mail me, and I'll pull it ASAP. Due to bandwidth issues, mp3's will only be up for a few days at a time each.
