Video: The National: "Fake Empire" (live on "Late Show With David Letterman")

Letterman has always been on the cutting edge of music, all these years he's been on the air.

Maybe his musical director, Paul Schafer should get credit for being an astute booker of talent.

The National were on The Late Show the other night, with their first nationally televised appearance, doing "Fake Empire."

Boxer is going to be on every Top 10 year end list, don't you think?

Letterman and Schaeffer are the best. Schaeffer is without a doubt the best band leader of any talk show out today. Anyone looking for some cool new music must check out the new Lovemaker's album which just came out, it's really good and fun to listen to. Their new single Whine and Dine is great and has a cool beat, just the right mix of rock and dance. Check them out at WWW.FUZZ.COM
