They formed in Santa Cruz, California in 2001, but those damn beaches academics got in the way!
18 months passed with the occasional gig and demo session during that time.
Finally the school was done, and Division Day decided to tackle their band with a more full scale effort.
They used John Vanderslice's Tiny Telephone studio, and spent 9 different weekends to craft what will soon be the re-release of Beartrap Island, due October 2nd, on their new label Eenie Meenie.
In the meantime, they have been releasing a covers project where every Tuesday, they relinquish a track from a well known band.
First, it was Sunny Day Real Estate, now it's Depeche Mode. Enjoy.
Division Day-Enjoy the Silence mp3 from Covers EP Project

Division Day has been on a spree of releasing really bad ass covers. I think my favorite is the Sunny Day cover. What's your favorite cover they've done? There's been a lot of good covers lately. The Killers have some great covers, The Go Station's New Order cover kicks ass, and all of the I'm not There soundtrack is really good! Long live the cover!!
