Josh Ritter Live

Josh Ritter just played Idaho last night, and according to the Idaho Statesman, it was a good show.

He rocked out with a backing band for the first time in his career, but many of the great moments came when he performed on his acoustic alone, including during the encore, when he opened with a Bruce Springsteen cover for "The River."

It was sort of a homecoming for Ritter, as he is from nearby Moscow, Idaho. The crowd was into it from the word go, and adding to what sounded like a magical night-the fact that Ritter was turning 31 at the stroke of midnight.
