The Strokes Have Two More Going Solo

The_strokes

Just when we got all excited about The Strokes getting back at it in 2009, here comes a report this morning saying that may not be the case...yet.

According to Rolling Stone, drummer Fabrizio Moretti and bassist Nikolai Fraiture, have gone in their own directions with Moretti forming a side project called Little Joy with Rodrigo Amarante from Los Hermanos.  Look for the record this fall on Rough Trade.

Fraiture's new endeavor is called Nickel Eye with an album titled The Time of the Assassins. Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Regina Spektor guest on the project.

About Indieblogheaven

  • Indieblogheaven is a music blog, primarily focusing on indie bands/artists. This may include some americana, pop, punk, or whatever we might like at the time. There might be some pop culture sprinkled in periodically. Mp3s are for sampling only--go out and support the artist, if you like what you hear. If you are the owner of a sound file, and would like it removed, e-mail me, and I'll pull it ASAP. Due to bandwidth issues, mp3's will only be up for a few days at a time each.
