New Music: Tinted Windows "Kind of a Girl"

 

The new supergroup called Tinted Windows featuring former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha, Cheap Trick drummer Bun E. Carlos, Taylor Hanson from Hanson, and Fountains of Wayne bassist Adam Schlesinger is pretty strong.

Sure, they aren't doing anything groundbreaking, but if you are looking for catchy power pop, these guys bring it on the track "Kind of a Girl."

Lily Allen Says She Might Quit Music

Stop me if you've heard this one before. Lily Allen says she might be quitting music...or she might not.

She tells MTV-

"I'm a 'live the day' person. I have no idea what I'm doing tomorrow. I certainly don't think about a week from now or a month from now," she laughed. "As far as the future goes, there's only a vague plan of getting married and having kids. I couldn't tell you if I'm going to make another record, because I don't know if I'm going to enjoy this in six months' time."

She also says the paparazzi certainly gets tiring.

Smashing Pumpkins Whine That Nobody Likes Them To Chris Isaak

Chris Isaak's new show, which is similar in style to Elvis Costello's Spectacle, debuts tonight on the Bio Channel.

On a show that won't air until April, Smashing Pumpkins will be guests, and Billy Corgan does more complaining about his fans not liking him.

No Doubt Announce Tour Schedule

 

No Doubt have finally announced what their touring itinerary will be for the year.

They will kick it off at the 2009 Bamboozle Festivalat the Meadowlands in New Jersey on May 3, then they go out west for a bunch of dates.

Paramore will open all of the dates with a smattering of The Sounds, Janelle Monae and Bedouin Soundclash as secondary opening acts on different dates. Tickets go on sale for almost all shows on Saturday, March 7.
