Three New Thom Yorke Songs Surface

Three Thom Yorke videos have surfaced today with songs that could be a part of his new band, Atoms For Peace. 

He was performing at a benefit show for the UK's Green Party last night, when he delivered,  "The Daily Mail", "Give Up the Ghost" and "Mouse Dog Bird."

A new Prince track that rocks?! Wow, this is like the old school Purple one, as Minnesota Public Radio debuted  new track, "Cause and Effect." 

It's basically a complicated piece, with lots going on. Maybe a few different parts put together. Very interesting. One of his rockier efforts.

Thom Yorke Names His Band/Announces Tour

You might recall, when Coachella artists were announced, it had Thom Yorke's name listed with several question marks after it. Now, we have his band name. They're called Atoms For Peace and features producer Nigel Godrich, percussionist Mauro Refosco, bassist Flea, and drummer Joey Waronker. Besides Coachella, they will play eight dates in some of the bigger markets. See if you are one of them here. 

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Announce New Album/Tour/Debut Track

It's an exciting day for us Petty fans. Let's put aside the indie thing for a moment and talk about the biggest music news story of the day. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers came sooner than we expected with details of a new tour, album, and a new track today. Hear the new track "Good Enough" from the forthcoming album Mojo, which is due out this spring. Go here.

Also, a slew of dates, with several openers including Joe Cocker, Crosby, Stills and Nash and Drive By Truckers.

LCD Soundsystem's Record Is Done

LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy has been giving us several updates via his Twitter about the forthcoming LCD album. We got this today from the website. 

"Looks like we added another paris gig. oh, and something else. the fucking record is done."

Nice way to drop that in there. Some say the album could be ready by next month, which seems to be a lofty goal. It also depends on what "done" means. Is the album in need of a mixdown, or is everything done from top to bottom.

Vampire Weekend To Do SNL With Zach Galifianakis

Vampire Weekend will share the bill on the SNL stage with Zach Galifianakis on March 6th. Yeah that doesn't suck.  

By the way, that's the first time Zach has ever done the show, so it should be fun to watch. Maybe him and McGruber can make an appearance together. 

New She and Him Track-"Thieves"

She and Him's new album is already sounding really strong, which with the talent on board, shouldn't come as a surprise.  

We gave you "In the Sun" awhile back, and now comes "Thieves."
