From a personal standpoint, I'm a little disappointed in the Black Keys new Brothers album. I admire the fact that the guys got back to their blues roots, but there's not a home run track like "Your Touch" anywhere to be found. Not that that solely makes a bad record, but it certainly doesn't help. Maybe Auerbach's solo record, Blakroc, and the new album within a window of a year were too much?
This might be the closest thing to a home run on the album, the Danger Mouse produced "Tighten Up," which the guys did for Letterman last night. Click below to watch.
I couldn't disagree more. I think the new TBK's is easily their best. They've added more R&B and Funk to their blues palette and the results are stunning. Half the album sounds like the lost soundtrack to some sleazy '70's porno flick, and I mean that the very best way possible...
