Watch Interpol Perform "Barricade" on Letterman

The band sounded tight, and frontman Paul Banks looked good in his shades, as Interpol performed on Letterman last night.

Their self-titled album will be out on Matador on September 7th, but you can pick up "Barricade" on iTunes now.

LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip To Tour Together, With A Big "BUT....."

LCD Soundsystem with Hot Chip?! That's like the holy grail for indie-dance fans. They have just announced a tour, but only one U.S. date so far. They say they plan on announcing the full itinerary here in the near future. Look for their tour to land in the fall, in all likelihood.

Let's just hope they don't get pissed at each other in England, and all the plans go to waste.

Bob Dylan To Release Bootlegs Vol. 9

Bob Dylan is getting ready to release another set of bootlegs as part of his on going series. The Bootleg Series Vol. 9 will feature studio recordings from 1962-64, with Dylan’s 1962 self-titled debut through to 1967’s John Wesley Harding. Eight albums in all redone in mono to capture the original sound of the vinyl. Look for it in October.

The Flaming Lips Freak Out Letterman Last Night With Performance

The Flaming Lips came by Letterman last night to do "See the Leaves," from their latest, Embryonic.

Letterman's reaction at the end is priceless. It wasn't his usual, "That was beautiful," or "great job, thanks for coming." He riffed on the Flaming Lips name, while possibly sliding in commentary about the performance simultaneously.

One thing you won't hear on the new Chemical Brothers album-guest vocals. No Noel Gallagher's or anybody else, instead the synths are more prominent on the new album.

You have that, combined with the very green and cool video for "Another World," and you just might be left in a trance.

It's Official-Pete Yorn Still Kicks Ass-Hear His New Song "Precious Stone"

If you've heard Music For the Morning After, then I don't need to tell you. Pete Yorn is a great songwriter. He has his ups and downs as an artist, just like anybody else, but he seemed to get back on track with his Scarlett Johansson record last year.

He's got a new album coming out, produced by frank Black (!) and if this is any indication, he's back to being on a hot streak. Look for the album September 28th. Listen/download his new one, "Precious Stone" by clicking below. Very strong track.
