New Fleet Foxes! “Helplessness Blues”
The new Fleet Foxes track starts quiet, acoustic, with reverb like the band is in a church. Then the intensity builds into something irresistible, with the usual harmonies, which are their signature. I can’t wait for the new album. Also, look for a big announcement on a presale tomorrow at 9am PST, on their website.

The Kills Are Back With A New Track-"Satellite"
The Kills are back with a track called “Satellite,” from their forthcoming album “Blood Pressures, out in early April.
It starts as a machine gun attack of digital firepower. Then it settles into a crunchy, fuzzed out, mid-tempo grind. It’s a little edgy. Kind of like The Dead Weather.

Is Bright Eyes latest album their best ever? That's hard to imagine, but NPR swears by that statement. They say it's even better than the one two punch of I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning and Digital Ash in a Digital Urn in 2005.

Lollapalooza Adds Chile As A Tour Stop/Announces Lineup
Now that Coachella is out of the way, Perry Farrell's dream has been announced. Lollapalooza in Chile. I'm not sure what the artists on the bill think, but it's going to be in Chicago and Chile this year. The Chile lineup isn't nearly as sexy as Coachella's either, although Kanye West will be at this one too.

Michael Stipe is looking a little older, but good with gray beard in this performance of "Oh My Heart." Thanks to Stereogum, we get to see the band huddled up in a circle, performing this tribute to New Orleans. As Stipe says in the video, "playing in a tight circle made the song." Watch it below.

Butch Vig Discusses New, Raw Foo Fighters Record/Novoselic Reunion
MTV does a pretty cool interview with producer Butch Vig, who did the new Foo Fighters record. He discusses Dave Grohl's mission to make the record sound more raw, and ditching his home recording studio for the garage. Also the Grohl, Vig, Krist Novoselic reunion, their first in nearly 20 years, since the recording of Nirvana's Nevermind album.
