New Four Tet Track-"Pinnacles"

There have been quite a few radio rips turning up for the new Four Tet track "Pinnacles." It looks like we have the studio version of the nice 8+ minute track. I could see it in a future Quentin Tarantino movie. Eerie, and one part dance track, one part cool guitar fill and one part jazz breakdown. Cool stuff. Check it out below. 

Stream New Queens of the Stone Age Debut Album Reissue

Josh Homme tightened up the songs, and went in a different direction than his Kyuss days. Monster hooks, and eventually him singing his own songs followed, and Queens of the Stone Age was born. Although Mark Lanegan as the permanent frontman all of these years could have been interesting. 

The re-release of that QOTSA debut album is streaming now at Domino Records website if you want to check it out here. 

Stream Entire Albums From Wye Oak, Mountain Goats and Kurt Vile

On paper, this is a good day if you're a music fan. The new Wye Oak album Civilian, Mountain Goats All Eternals Deck and Kurt Vile's Smoke Ring For My Halo are available to listen to in full.

Bright Eyes Perform on Letterman-"Jejune Stars"

They are a "Reno owned band?" C'mon Letterman, it's "reknowned." Oh well. At least the performance rocked. This record is so good from top to bottom. If you haven't listened to The People's Key, then you are missing out. Watch Bright Eyes do "Jejune Stars" on Letterman, below.It rocks a bit.

Could These Be New Leaked Justice Tracks?

Thanks to M4PP, the word is spreading about what could be new music from Justice. There's a YouTube channel called Officialleaks, and they possibly have six new songs from Visceral, the forthcoming Justice album.

R.E.M. Sounds Great Doing New Song Live-“Mine Smell Like Honey”

I think it’s safe to say that R.E.M. is relevant again. All of this talk about not having a drummer, and how soft they’ve became has been smashed, thanks to their last couple of albums.

Whatever Jacknife Lee is doing, is working out very nicely. Collapse Into Now, is out March 8^th, but check out a live version of “Mine Smell Like Honey” below. 

Foo Fighters Rock With Roger Daltrey/Do Six New Songs At NME Awards

Yesterday, the Foo Fighters played the NME Awards, and by played I mean they did seven songs! Six new tracks, and a cover of "Young Man Blues" with The Who's Roger Daltrey. Plus, Dave Grohl won the "Godlike Genius" award. All in a days work.
