Hear the Strong New Atlas Sound Track-"Angel Is Broken"

The new Atlas Sound record Parallax is coming out on 4AD on November 8th. One of the songs off the album, "Angel Is Broken" has been leaked, and this is one of my favorite songs out right now. It's acoustic and featuring a very strong vocal from Bradford Cox on this. Take a listen.

These guys that do the 4AD Sessions are clutch, and should win some awards. It's not only filmed beautifully, but the sound on this is top notch as well. It was shot Shot at Shangri-La Studios in the heart of the Brooklyn, and this four song set from Annie Clark is one you have to watch.

If you think Kirsten Dunst is hot, then this is your video. I personally am not one of these people. I never really understood her appeal. All she does is smile and make facial expressions while R.E.M.’s new single, “We All Go Back To Where We Belong,” plays. That’s it.

The new greatest hits, Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage: 1982-2011 will be out on November 15^th.

Today Coldplay streamed a concert live on YouTube that I heard was very well done, with three different camera angles. It was also directed by Anton Corbijn. Done in a bullfighting ring in Madrid, Spain.

New Decemberists Day Three-Hear the Track "Burying Davy"

I'm honestly running out of ways to sell the new Decemberists EP, Long Live the King, which is coming out next week. This is day three of an EP preview, and this time it comes from Rolling Stone and a track called "Burying Davy." 

It's a little more creepy than a lot of their catalog. Take a listen here.

What is this? A black man dancing like a white boy in front of a hotel parking lot? I never thought I'd see the day. We get a taste of the very catchy "Lonely Boy" from the Black Keys forthcoming album El Camino, produced again by Danger Mouse. Look for it on December 5th.

Guided By Voices are back with new material from the original GBV lineup, which excites me personally. A couple of takeaways here. #1, Robert Pollard has been guilty of doing way too many demos, some of them mediocre. It's nice to hear this new track, "The Unsinkable Fats Domino" be good and not lo-fi either. Also, it sticks to the tradition of a short track, coming in at just under 2:00. When a song is good, I don't know why Pollard doesn't milk it for another minute or two, but he obviously knows what he's doing. Take a listen below. New album November 22nd.
