Oh yes...everybody is going crazy like they normally do over Rolling Stone's new updated list of the Top 100 Greatest Guitarist of All Time. A new panel has mixed up prior results, like Robert Johnson in the top 10 last time-now he 71st! What about Prince at 33? He is a great guitarist, but that means he's better than Slash at 65th, Tom Morello at 40 and Kurt Cobain at 73rd. You get the picture. There's plenty of these examples. People love lists because they never agree and are fun to talk about. The Top 10 is pretty solid though, with the Top 2 that never seems to change. See the entire list here.
top 100?
Leo Kottke?
Randy California?
Steve Miller?
Greg Lake?
Somehow I doubt that these guys and maybe dozens of others would have appeared had they not been boomers.

Previous comments submitted by mistake. Names remain the same, but question is: would these guys have appeared if you liked boomers?
Listen to 'I got a line on you', 'From the beginning', Rock-n-me or My dark hour'.
Look to the works of Spirit, Steve Miller Band, ELP, and of course, Kottke.
These guys were better and much more influential than many on the 2011 Rolling Stone list.
