I would put Kurt Vile's Smoke Ring For My Halo on my best of list for 2011 for sure. I never do a list, but if I did, that would be happening. I'd say Top 25. Last night as a guest opener for Yo La Tengo's seventh night of Hanukkah 2011, Vile and the Violators did a cover of The Feelies "For Awhile." Watch below.

Kaskade must have some time on his hands...at least before his insane 12/30-12/31 which includes two gigs on New Years Eve night in Anaheim and Las Vegas. Download Sacramento's Sister Crayon's Cover of Sufjan Stevens 'Futile Devices'

We told you about a week ago about the free covers album that Sister Crayon would be releasing on Christmas Day, and it would include a Sufjan Stevens cover of "Futile Devices." We only had a :30 sample of it though. Now, you can hear and download the entire track. With this track, it's also the first time they recorded a song by themselves.
