Top 100 Club Venues in the World Ranked Including Nor Cal

Pollstar has ranked the Top 100 Club Venues from all over the world. This isn't a panels list of personal favorites. This is ranked based on ticket sales from last year. 

#1 was Terminal 5 in New York. Some great venues all throughout Northern California/Nevada included too. Only one in the city? The Independent in SF came in 30th. Sacramento's Ace of Spades was #52. The Knitting Factory in Reno was 68th.

Watch Nada Surf Do Two Songs on Jimmy Fallon

Nada Surf stopped by Jimmy Fallon last night to do their single, "Waiting For Something." They also performed a web exclusive "High Speed Soul" off the Let Go album.

Hear Chllngr's New Track-"Well, Good"

Sacramento’s Chllngr is back with a reverby, electronic bongo, beat driven track called “Well, Good.” A lot of textures applied here and stabs of bass from the upcoming EP Datter, which will be out February 6th on Time No Place. It’s an interesting listen. Check it out below.

Hear the New Jack White Track-"Love Interrupted"

Jack White has gone solo. It’s something he hasn’t done yet, so why not? You can’t pigeon hole him, so you never know what to expect.

As his first preview off the forthcoming album Blunderbuss, he goes acoustic with background female harmonies on “Love Interrupted.” Is that a flute too?

Just when you think he might turn a corner White Stripes style in the middle of the track and blow the roof off the dump, it never happens. It’s just a pleasant listen that you can hum along to.

The single will be available Jan 31^st digitally. New album out April 24^th.

Feist New Video-"The Bad in Each Other"

Feist is here with her new video, which starts in the desert with a man burying his dog. Then it gets interesting, examining the complexities of several different characters. 

As Feist told Spin-

"All the quiet internal battles that guide our actions, all the hopes and struggles we suppress or let carry us away. I feel like he's made a sort of symphony of In Betweens and stretched split seconds into feel-able, graspable echoes."

Download the New Memoryhouse Track-"Walk With Me"

The new Memoryhouse song is a delicate tinkering on xylophone and bass drum, as if somebody said just barely acknowledge them. “Walk with me” takes awhile to build, but that’s a part of the thrill ride that makes this track stick with you. The new album The Slideshow Effect, will be out February 28th via Sub Pop.
