By the couple of tracks that have been thrown out there, I’m just going to declare the new Jon Spencer Blues Explosion album as hot. I know that’s risky. The other tracks could crash and burn. They could have no hooks. The lyrics could be juvenile and sound like Bieber in 4th grade…ok, who are we kidding? Listen to the blues shaking going on the earlier track “Black Mold” and now “Bag of Bones.” This record is going to be amazing. Funky Stones blues with great riffs, bass lines, “Do you remember the 1990’s?” lines and more. Prepare to rock…and possibly want to buy the full-length, Meat and Bone, on September 18th. It will be their first album in eight long years.
