New Video: Jenny Lewis "See Fernando"

Well, we're not fans of Perez Hilton, but he does have the new video for Jenny Lewis' "See Fernando." Love the way she spoofs spy flicks. Check it out.

Also, I did a writeup on Jenny Lewis' show in Sacramento recently. She was fantastic.

Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon Talks About Life On the Road

KimGordon

The Dallas Observer sat down with her royal hotness Kim Gordon, dissecting her busy schedule, her life as a mother, and the many other things she has going on, including that band she's in-Sonic Youth.

DO: So how can you spend half of your life on the road and still be painting?

Gordon: Well, this has been a really busy spring, but generally we just tour around a record. We're not one of those bands that goes on tour for a year or something. [Thurston and I] have a daughter, and Lee has kids so, you know, I try and tour around her school schedule. We've been gone a lot this spring already, so it's hard. And I think it's actually harder for moms to leave their kids. I know some people say, "How come people don't make a big deal about asking fathers what it's like to go on the road?" It is hard for them too, but I think it's easier if you have one parent at home that's taking care of it.

200px-Pixies_-_Minotaur

Frank Black recently sat down for a lengthy interview with IGN, discussing many aspects of The Pixies. From the new, gorgeous box set Minotaur, to the future.

IGN: Is there any chance we'll see any new Pixie music?

Black: Oh my God. That is the question on the every interviewer's lips. The hell if I know. You know what would get us into the studio? If Quentin Tarantino would direct a movie and let us do the music and as a little extra carrot for us, maybe a little cameo. We've already got ideas man. We want to go to Cannes, man!
