Kid Rock's IHOP beatdowns apparently didn't help his chart position, as he fell to #2 on the Billboard Album Chart this week.
This was one of the tightest races for #1 possibly ever, as Bruce Springsteen's Magic album reclaimed the top spot with just 170 more copies sold than Rock's Rock 'N Roll Jesus.
Maybe Kid Rock and his entourage should go to Denny's instead.
Do people still care about the Billboard Album Chart? Sure, Springsteen's "Magic" deserves to be on top, but look what else is there: High School Musical 2 Soundtrack (10 weeks), Colbie Caillat's "Coco" (14 weeks), Hannah Montana 2 Soundtrack (17 weeks), Nickelback's "All The Right Reasons" (107 weeks), Fergie's "The Dutchess" (57 weeks). Who is buying this crap?
I still buy "albums," but few of my friends do. Everyone I know downloaded the new Radiohead album last week, and chose their own price.
The Billboard chart that is now most relevant is The Buzz 100.
