The Canadian version of the Mercury Music Prize, the Polaris Music Prize has been announced with Caribou being the victor.
Others who were in the hunt for the honor and $20,000 to boot included Black Mountain, Stars, Holy Fuck, Plants and Animals, the Weakerthans, Basia Bulat, Kathleen Edwards, Two Hours Traffic, and Shad.
